About Us

House of Hope started in 2017

Since 2004, Hughes Foundation has partnered with AIDS orphanages and has supported thousands of children in the community who were affected by HIV/AIDS. What began as a small initiative to provide food, clothing, and basic medical care has grown into a comprehensive support network that empowers vulnerable children and their families.

Expanding Support Through Education and Community Partnerships

Over the years, the foundation has expanded its reach through collaborations with local schools, clinics, and social workers, ensuring that children receive consistent care and a sense of stability. Educational sponsorship programs have enabled many children to complete primary and secondary school, with a growing number now pursuing higher education and vocational training.

Empowering the Future: Outreach, Awareness, and Prevention

In recent years, the Hughes Foundation has also launched community outreach and prevention programs to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and reduce stigma. These efforts include workshops, mobile health units, and youth mentorship initiatives aimed at creating a more informed and resilient generation.

How can I donate to House of Hope?

You can donate us by using UPI or direct online donation to our bank account. You can also contact our team for bank transfer or cheque.

How do I obtain receipt for my online donation or a year-end statement for taxes?

You will receive the receipt after online donation within 7-10 working days. If you have any query, you can contact our Donor Support Team using our email address or contact number, provided in the contact section of our website. We are here to help!

Are there any tax benefits involved while donating to House of Hope?

All donations made to House of Hope are 50% tax-exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. Section 80G of the Income Tax Act allows tax exemptions for various entities, including individuals, Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs), companies, and partnership firms. Its benefits are also available to Non-Residential Indians (NRIs).

What is the process to avail tax exemption certificate?

House of Hope will provide your details to the Income Tax department by May 31, i.e. immediately following the financial year in which the donation was received. We will provide your Full Name, PAN number, and Complete Address to the Income Tax department to issue a Tax Exemption Certificate (10BE).

Is there any advantage to donating online?

Donating online is cost-effective as it does not require regular visits to field offices or call centres. It is also faster, as online donations are instantaneous. Online donation generates instant documentation, which is sent to the donor's email address, ensuring transparency and ease of access - useful when filing a tax rebate.
